The Location

The St. George's Island bridge connects the mainland of St. Mary's County to one of the region's quietest waterfront communities. From beneath the bridge, the view opens to the full sweep of the St. George's Creek — a perspective few visitors ever see.

"I positioned myself under the bridge at low tide to get this angle. The long exposure turned the river into glass and let the red navigation lights burn into the frame. The repeating X-bracing creates a visual rhythm that pulls you through the image toward the sunset." — Ryan Lott
